Livadi is a small coastal village on the side of Chora hill, which due to its fertile land comprises of many orchards with tangerine, pomegranate, lemon trees and vineyards.
On the northwest edge, at the "back" of the valley, lies the dam which collects the water during the rainy season. It forms an artificial lake that apart from catering the island's needs in water, can be a nice place for the visitors to walk and enjoy the scenery or to take the children to feed the ducks.
In Livadi there are plenty of restaurants (tavernas), cafeterias, supermarkets, and often works as the starting point for excursions to the beautiful beaches on the west side of the island (Tzanaki, Mouras, Pappou, Agios Konstantinos, Vatses and Kaminakia).
Right on the seaside road there is a bus stop for the local bus that operates during summer time connecting Livadi with Chora, Pera Gialos, Agios Andreas (port), the airport and Maltezana.
